Hi, I’m Meg Stone.
I create art for the moments we rush past.
I'm Meg Stone—a mother, photographer, and self-proclaimed "scrunchy mom" who believes the best life exists somewhere in the middle. Not perfectly curated, not entirely chaotic, but intentionally lived in the beautiful, messy space between.
For over a decade, I've been capturing moments through my lens, but motherhood changed everything. It slowed me down in the most necessary way. It taught me to notice—the way light spills across the floor during morning coffee, how magnolia petals dance against an ordinary sky, the fleeting magic hidden in our everyday routines.
That shift in perspective transformed my work. I moved away from traditional photography and into something more interpretive, more honest. Now, I create fine art that reflects how life actually feels when we're brave enough to be present for it—soft, dreamlike, and full of quiet wonder.
My photography is born from the belief that beauty doesn't require grand destinations or perfect conditions—it lives in the gentle blur of ordinary days that somehow hold everything.
The Process
I work primarily with intentional camera movement, a technique that transforms the familiar into something dreamlike. By moving my camera during exposure, I blur the line between photography and painting, capturing not just what I see but how it feels to be present in that moment.
This isn't about documenting—it's about interpreting. Each image is a collaboration between intention and surrender, between control and letting go.
The Vision: Joy in the Ordinary
We live in a world that celebrates the extraordinary, but I'm drawn to something quieter. The poetry of everyday life. The magnolia tree you pass without thinking. The light that shifts across your living room wall. The fleeting colors of an unremarkable sunset.
My work invites you to slow down and notice. To find the sacred in the simple. To remember that beauty isn't something we have to chase—it's already here, waiting to be seen.
Bringing it Home
These prints are meant to live with you, not just hang on your walls. They're designed to bring a sense of calm, wonder, and intentionality into your daily spaces—a visual reminder to pause, breathe, and find joy in the ordinary moments that make up a life.
Each piece in my collection is named with the same care it was created—poetic titles that capture not just what was photographed, but the feeling it holds.
